Cantor set generator tool What is a cantor set generator?
This tool draws the Cantor set fractal. The Cantor set is created as follows – take a line segment of unit length, then divide it into three equal parts and remove the middle segment. This is the first step of the iteration procedure. In the second step, each of the two remaining segments are subjected to the same procedure of dividing them into three equal parts and then removing the middle part. Continuing this infinitely many times we get the Cantor set. Because of this thirds subdivision this set is also known as middle-thirds Cantor set. With this tool you can visualize this process by specifying how many recursive subdivision operations to perform. You can create a square or rectangular Cantor set fractals by specifying the height and width of the drawing area. You can also set the direction in which the Cantor set will evolve. It also offers you two interesting fractal modes – squeeze mode and barcode mode. Squeeze mode crushes all space between fractal subdivisions and barcode mode only shows the last subdivision. And, as with all other fractal tools, you can set padding around the fractal and choose color for drawing the set, background and filling. Mathabulous!
