Terdragon curve generator tool What is a terdragon curve generator?
This tool draws a terdragon fractal. The treadragon curve is made out of a modified Heighway dragon curve in which the folds trisect the paper at each step instead of bisecting it. Because of the modified dragon curve's special properties, it can be split in three self-similar dragons that can all be placed back-to-belly-to-back together. Usually, one of the dragons is positioned vertically while two other dragons are placed on both sides of the vertical dragon. With this fractal tool, you can fill the given space with three dragons and customize them. Each dragon can be given a different color, or, if you want to, you can give all dragons the same color. You can choose how the dragons are generated by changing the tail orientation for the third dragon. As all dragons are connected together this will change the orientation of the entire fractal. Other options include the ability to choose the thickness of the line used to draw the dragons and adding extra empty space around the dragons so that they don't touch the image borders. Mathabulous!

Generate a Bipattern Terdragon Fractal
This example paints three dragons with only two colors. The first and third dragon has the same color but middle dragon has a different color. The terdragon is drawn on a 600x600 pixel canvas and has 10th order. Required options

Draw a Vertical Terdragon
In this example we generate 8 iterations of the three dragon fractal. The 8th iteration makes two of the dragons align vertically and one of them align horizontally and to better visualize them we set height to 800px but width to 600px. We use three shades of blue for dragon lines and use a white background color. Dragon line thickness is set to 3 pixels. Required options

Draw a Filled Three-dragon Curve
In this example the terdragon is generated for 11 iterations and it uses four different colors – purple, yellow and blue for dragons, and black for the background. As there are 11 iterations the fractal gets filled with solid color as all lines get drawn very close together. We also set the padding to zero and dragon line width of 2px. Required options
