Twindragon curve generator tool What is a twindragon curve generator?
This tool draws a twindragon curve. The twindragon curve, also known as the Davis-Knuth dragon curve, is constructed from two regular dragon curves by placing them back-to-back. With this tool you can explore how these two dragons behave by changing the number of iterations and their colors. As you change the iteration depth, the Davis-Knuth curve changes its shape so to better see the changes you can also change the size of final fractal image. You can individually set color for each dragon and also change the color for the background. You can rotate the fractal by choosing the direction of one of dragon's tails. You can also set dragon curve's thickness and padding around the final fractal image. Mathabulous!

Generate 10 Iterations of a Twindragon Curve
This example draws the first ten iterations of the Davis-Knuth dragon fractal on a canvas of size 900x700px. As there are only 10 iterations, you can clearly see how the dragon lines are constructed. Also we set the dragon's tail to be drawn down. Required options

Draw a Vertical Twindragon Fractal
This example generates red and blue dragons vertically on a black background with a height of 600 pixels and a width of 500 pixels. The thickness of dragons is 3 pixels and the padding is 10 pixels. Required options

Draw a Filled Davis-Knuth Dragon
This example generates twin dragons using 16 iteration steps. The drawing lines are so close together that they fill the dragon shapes forming clear contours of the two dragons. Required options
